FROM SALAD TO SOULMATES

At Evergreens, simple meals have a way of turning into meaningful moments. This Valentine’s Day, we couldn’t resist sharing one of our favorites.

Stephanie and Ryan met online without any wild expectations. Just a first date to see if there was a spark.

Stephanie wasn’t convinced salad was first-date food (come on, can a girl get a carb around here?!), but somewhere between lunch and easy conversation, Evergreens and Ryan both won her over. That first date happened at Evergreens University Village on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.

Since then, shared meals and easy time together gave Evergreens a place in their rhythm, and love slowly took on a familiar shape: knowing each other’s orders.

Stephanie goes for the classic El Sombrero, always with extra chips, extra cheese, and cucumbers, while Ryan keeps it simple with his tried-and-true Southern Saucepitality.

After getting engaged in Iceland on October 3, 2025, they’re now dreaming up their 2027 wedding, and we couldn’t be more excited for them.
