Good question! We actually didn’t! These bowls are exactly the same size as our old recyclable bowls were for your salads. In fact, for warm bowls, this new compostable option is an increase in size.
If industrial composting facilities are not available locally, these compostable bowls can be disposed of in regular waste bins, where they will break down over time in landfills, albeit at a slower rate.
As it stands, our bowls, wrap paper and stickers, napkins, and unwrapped green forks are all compostable! From there, our bowl lid and bags are 100% recyclable.
