We know food safety is top of mind for many of our guests, and we want to share what we know so you can continue enjoying your Evergreens favorites with confidence.
The current Cyclospora outbreak has been linked to shredded iceberg lettuce, which Evergreens does not serve. Our salads are made with romaine, arugula, kale, spinach, and mixed greens. Based on the information available today, there is no known connection between products supplied to Evergreens and the current Cyclospora outbreak.
Every day, we source our produce from trusted suppliers and follow strict food safety, washing, handling, and preparation procedures in every Evergreens restaurant. We’ve been in close ongoing communication with our produce partners, including Charlie’s Produce and Pro*Act, and they have confirmed their rigorous food safety, testing, and traceability programs remain in place.
These vendors have also confirmed that our jalapeños are not included in the recall regarding salmonella, as we do not source from the identified farm or distributor that were found to be the source of the outbreak according to the CDC.
We’ll continue to closely follow ongoing guidance from the FDA and CDC and keep our guests informed if anything changes. Your health and safety remain our highest priority.
